Get answers to common questions about Microblading.
Microblading is a semi-permanent technique using fine, manual strokes to mimic eyebrow hairs. Unlike traditional machine tattooing, it creates delicate, natural-looking lines that fade more gradually and require periodic touch-ups based on skin type and aftercare.
Most clients enjoy 12 to 18 months of visible results, though longevity varies by skin type, lifestyle, sun exposure and skincare habits. Annual or biennial touch-ups help maintain color and crisp hair strokes for consistently defined brows.
We use topical numbing creams before and during the procedure to minimize discomfort. Most clients describe sensations as light scratching or pressure. Sensitivity varies, but the process is generally well tolerated and brief, with consultation about pain concerns beforehand.
Aftercare includes keeping brows dry for seven to ten days, avoiding heavy sweating, swimming and direct sun exposure. Apply the recommended ointment, avoid picking scabs, and schedule your six to eight week touch-up visit for optimal pigment retention and healing.
Ideal candidates want fuller natural-looking brows, have sparse or uneven hair growth, and are in good general health. Some skin types and medical conditions may not qualify; we perform a consultation to assess suitability and discuss expectations.
Typically two sessions are recommended: the initial microblading appointment and a six- to eight-week touch-up to refine shape and pigment. Some clients with oily skin or significant fading may require additional adjustments during maintenance visits.
